Police Arraign Three For Unlawful Gun Possession

The police in Ikorodu,
Lagos, on Saturday arraigned a septuagenarian, Surakat Liadi, Adewale Adeboye (31) and Jelili Ojedokun( 29), before a Magistrates’ Court for unlawful possession of a locally-made gun.
The prosecutor, Cpl. Bose Adegeshin, told the court that the accused conspired with one another to commit the crime.
Adegeshin said the suspects were arraigned on a two-count charge of conspiracy and unlawful possession of a gun.
He said that the suspects had in their possession a locally-made pistol with one life cartridge, adding that they could not account for them.
The prosecutor said the offences were committed on February 18 at Liadi Village, via Adamo area of Ikorodu at 10:00 a.m.
“The complainant, Mr Sikiru Odusanya told one of the accused, Surakat Liadi, to desist from selling the land which belonged to their family.
