Motorists Commend Marketers For Improved Petrol Supply In Borno
Motorists, yesterday
in Maiduguri, gave commendations to petroleum products marketers in the state for the improved supply.
Our correspondent reports that following its availability, a litre of petrol now sells for N97 at some petrol stations of major marketers and the NNPC retail stations.
Bulama Baba, a bus driver, commended the marketers for ensuring adequate supply of the commodity, adding that the supply had eased difficulties motorists encountered in getting fuel.
Baba said the availability of petrol would boost socio-economic activities in the state.
Alhaji Kaka Ndume, the Manager, NNPC retail station in Maiduguri, said the station had supplied more than 900,000 litres of petrol to meet the local demands.
“Ndume said the station was selling a litre of petrol at N97, diesel for N155 and kerosene for N50.
“The station is supplying fuel on daily basis, we supply three trucks daily.
“The only commodity we don’t get constantly is kerosene, which comes once in three months”, he said.
According to him, the station has taken measures to improve availability of kerosene to reduce hardship being faced by consumers.
