LGA Promises Full Participation In Sanitation Activities

Government Council has vowed to mobilise the people towards full participation in the monthly environmental sanitation this year.
The council chairman, Hon. Orom Nte Ereforokuma, who disclosed this in an interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt also said that the council  was making effort to ensure regular clean up of the Ikuru Town Beach to enhance tourism in the area.
Hon. Ereforokuma also said that the council was embarking on a link road to connect Ngo, the council headquarters, to the beach, stressing that it is part of the programme to enhance the aesthetic condition as well as increase its tourism potentials.
The council boss said that regular sensitization programme would be organized in all communities in the area to educate the people on the importance of cleanliness.
He commended the Rivers State Ministry of Environment and the State Environmental Sanitation Authority for their efforts at returning Port Harcourt to its garden city status promising to replicate the situation in Andoni.
Meanwhile Orom Nte Ereforokuma has commended the Rivers State Government for the massive investment in infrastructural projects.
Speaking with The Tide at Eleme, the Andoni Council boss said that the on-going commissioning ceremony was an eye opener to the achievements of Governor Amaechi in the various sectors of the State.
He assured that the people of Andoni would continue to support the governor to enable him do more for the state.
