Kickboxing Association Plans Seminar

Association,  Nigeria Chapter says it has concluded plans to host a programme tagged World Kickboxing Association seminar/upgrade championship in Akwa-Ibom State.
The representative of the association, Sensei Victor Bassey, stated this yesterday, in a telephone interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt.
He explained that the programme is open for all kickboxers in the federation adding that it is aimed at preparing athletes ahead of the 2014 World Kickboxing Championship scheduled to hold in Nigeria.
He said that the Championship would be used to educate kick boxers of new rules in the sports and as well improve their skills and standards on the sport.
“We want to use this programme to upgrade and improve the standard of Nigeria Kickboxers as to enable them compete favourably when the forthcoming 2014 World Kickboxing Championship’ gets underway, he said.
Bassey, however, advised kickboxers to be focused and take their training seriously in order to achieve their goals in their chosen sport.
It was understood that the “2014 World Kickboxing Championship is expected to be hosted by the Nigeria chapter of association in Akwa – Ibom State later this year.
