Emordi Pledges To Retain League Title With Pillars
Newly appointed Head Coach
of Kano Pillars FC, Okey Emordi, yesterday promised that the club would retain for the third year running, the Glo Premier League trophy.
Emordi disclosed this to newsmen while commenting on the club’s preparation for the 2013/2014 season scheduled to begin on February 21.
The coach said that he was glad to be part of a club that has such a good record adding that he was determined to maintain the club’s number one spot.
“I know of the task ahead of me, but I only ask for cooperation from the management, players, officials, fans and the people of Kano State.
“I also pledge my cooperation with them and I pledge not to disappoint any one and by God’s grace we will all achieve the club’s highest expectation,” he said.
Emordi formerly with Rangers International of Enugu said he would work with any player that was ready to play to instructions.
“I am ready to work with any player that would be discipline, understanding and play to instruction.
“I am ready to work with players that are prepared to work with me and help the team to record great success.
“Discipline would bring out the best performance in the team for the season,” he added.
Pillars won the league won back to back, in 2012 and 2013 seasons.
