Governor Emmanuel
Uduaghan of Delta has reiterated his administration’s commitment to the speedy completion of ongoing projects and execution of new ones in the state.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Sunny Ogefere, in Warri, Delta, last Thursday.
Uduaghan gave the assurance on New Year’s Day when the Ovwor-Olomu Community in Ughelli South Local Government Area of the state visited him at his residence in Warri.
He said though the state government could not meet everybody’s expectations in terms of provision of infrastructure, “my administration will focus more on people-oriented projects this year’’. ‘
The governor said different projects were ongoing in the state, and noted that the situation had made it difficult for people to fully appreciate the effort of the government.
He thanked the community for appreciating his administration’s commitment to the wellbeing of the people.
“It is encouraging when people say thank you, this expression of gratitude will make Delta government to do more for your community,’’ he said.
In his remark, the President-General of the community, Chief Amos Oyoroko, thanked the governor for tarring nine major streets in his domain.
Oyoroko also commended the governor for constructing an ultra-modern primary school in the community, among other projects.
