‘Stop Politicising Ikechi’s Death’
The family of Ikechi Iguh in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State has called on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to stop politicising the death of their son, late Kingsley Ikechi, who died in an auto-crash which allegedly involved the vehicle of the lawmaker representing Emohua Constituency in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon Chidi Lloyd on December 31st, 2013.
Engr Godspower Ikechi Iguh, the elder brother to late Kingsley Ikechi who made the call Friday in Port Harcourt, said the family would not be happy with any person or political party that uses the painful exit of their son and brother for political struggle in the state.
Engr Iguh said, though the brother was a politician and recently defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), he did not believe that his death has any political undertone.
According to him, the late Kingsley Ikechi had no political feud with any politician, including Chidi LIoyd to warrant the alleged barbaric act.
He said that the deceased and Chidi LIoyd belonged to APC, insisting that there is no iota of truth in the allegation that he was intentionally knocked down by the later for political reasons as stated by some PDP stakeholders in the state.
