Six Publishers Withdraw From RIVPA

Rivers publishers made up of publishers of six Port Harcourt-based local newspapers has announced its withdrawal from the Rivers State Independent Publishers Association (RIVPA).
In a press release signed by the Publicity/Media Coordinator of the association, Mr Loveday Ihua, a copy which was made available to The Tide said those who withdrew their membership from RIVPA include Eddie Williams, publisher of the Envoy Newspaper, Solomon Parakom, Niger Delta Today and Vincent Chukwu of Mandate Quest.
Others are Loveday Ihua, publisher of Sunrise Newspaper, Prince Ogbonna Nwuke, publisher of Port Harcourt Telegraph and Sir Ngo Martyns Yellowe, publisher of Today TopNews Newspaper.
While stressing that a letter to this effect had been addressed to RIVPA Chairman, it however stated that reasons for the withdrawal were strictly personal.
