Senator Ake Berates Rivers PDP

ing Rivers West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Wilson Ake has berated the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for causing crisis in the state.
Senator Ake said this last Friday while addressing a group known as Rivers West Platform, Port Harcourt.
“If PDP in Rivers State claims to be powerful and aptimistic to win election come 2015, let the party stop using agencies to intimidate APC.
“PDP should go ahead to organize its rallies and functions, it should tell the Rivers people its agenda, APC should also present its agenda to Rivers people without disruption”, he said.
He condemned the action of Police in the shooting of Senator Magnus Abe in Save Rivers Movement rally at Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, saying that the National Assembly would ensure thorough investigation into the  incident to bring the culprits to book.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of Save Rivers Movement, Mr. Charles Aholu has reiterated the support of his organsation for Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, saying that the group cannot be intimidated by the Police.
“Governor Amaechi’s administration in the state had shown that there are people who are committed to the development of the state with tax-payers’ money and the resources of the state”, he said.
Mr. Aholu called on Rivers people to remain steadfast, saying time has come for good governance to replace bad governance in the state and the country.
