Rivers Kickboxers Train Ahead Of 2014 NSF

Kickboxing  Association, sensei Victor Bassey, has charged kickboxers in the state to take their training seriously as the association prepares for the 19th National Sports Festival and other sporting programmes scheduled for this year.
Bassey gave the charge last Sunday, in an interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt.
He said that athletes need to work hard in order to enhance their performance and improve their skills in the sport.
He further, advised them to be  focused and always demonstrate discipline as they work towards achieving their goals for this year.
Meanwhile, programmes for the 2014 year is yet to be released as the association awaits a response from the president of the National Kickboxing Federation, Monima Daminabo.
“I have sent a proposal of the year’s programme to the president, who is also, chairman South-South kickboxers and he is yet to get back to me,” he said.
He however said that normal training sessions of the association has commenced and the athletes have shown more commitment and determination.
Bassey, further, urged the state kickboxing, coach, Agamaye Amayabo to guide the athletes adequately ahead of future competitions at the state and national level as to enable them compete favourably during such events.
