Rivers APC Inaugurates LG Exco

Congress (APC)in Rivers State will commence the inauguration of its local government executives next week.
The Chairman of the party in the state,Chief Davies Ibiamu Ikanya who disclosed this in an exlusive interview with The Tide in his office,said the party had concluded harmonisation of different interest groups within the party in Rivers State.
Ikanya further disclosed that after the inauguration of local government executives,those inaugurated at the local government would in turn inaugurate the wards in their areas.
He noted that the harmonisation was as a result of series of meetings between the state working committee and the party’s National Assembly members, the party’s harmonisation committee, local government chairmen and stakeholders of the party in Rivers State.
The interim chairman who did not state the exact date of the commencement of the inauguration said all arrangements had been concluded for the setting up of  formidable party executives at the grassroots.
According to him,the party internal democracy must represent the interest of all stakeholders and party members to always forestall unity among members.
He said all possible fallouts from the process would continually be dealt with by the committee  as they arise.
The Tide learnt that the harmonisation committee is headed by Honourable Asita.
The committee held meetings with leadership and members of the legacy parties (defunct ACN, CPC and ANPP) and other political groups that fused into the APC.
