On-Line Bible Quiz Competition Produces Winners
An on-line Bible Quiz competition organised by the Bible Experience Commission (BEC) an interdenominational Christian organisation has announced the winners.
More than 200 participants took part in the competition which started in October 2013. but 18 participated in the finals.
At the finals which took place last weekend in Port Harcourt, Mr Oba Emmanuel who emerged as the overall winner went home with a brand new Toyota Corola worth N1.8 million.
His first runners up, Lady Nyenwe Fortune was presented, with cheque of N500,000 while the third place winner Izuchukwu Michael got N250,000.
The Coordinator of the Bible Experience Commission (BEC) Mrs Esther Benebor said that the commission is out to win souls for Christ and as well as make men unique.
According to her, BEC which is non-denominational, is a creation of inspiration with a view to spreading the Gospel of Christ to all the nooks and criannies of the earth.
Mrs Benebor argued that spreading the Gospel has become necessary to check the rising tide of homosexuality and other forms of immorality.
According to her, the mission of the commission is charging and giving life a meaning and described the event as aspring boord for more glorious things to come.
also speaking, the president of the commission Pastor Vitalis Osunkwo said that the Bible Experience Commission (BEC) is out to wage nor against all forms of immorality.
Parstor Osunkwo said that next year’s edition will be improved upon, noting that BEC is his own way of spreading the Gospel of Christ round the globe.
He urged the people to embrace the word of God as it has solutions to every problem stressing that for next year all participants will be made to undergo written examination.
In his speech, Mr Oba Emmanuel who emerged as the overall winner said that the competition has helped to improve their knowledge of the Bible.
