The League Management Company has announced that the 2013/14 Nigeria League season will kick off on February 23.
The chairman of the LMC, Nduka Irabor, told newsmen on Monday: “We will commence the new season by the weekend of February 23-25.”
Irabor added that the pre-season tournament, the Super 4, will be played between January 24 to 28.
“We hope this tournament will help prepare our teams who will feature in international competitions this year,” he said.
Kano Pillars and Enyimba will represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League, while Bayelsa United will feature in the CAF Confederation Cup.
