Niger Delta Open Cycling Championship Holds,’Morrow

cling Association has stepped up preparation for the 9th edition of the annual cycling competition tagged ‘Garden City Cycling Championship”.
The Championship is scheduled to hold next month in Port Harcourt.
According to Chief Coach of the association, Emmanuel Adesanya, the championship is part of preparations for the forthcoming 19th National Sports Festival scheduled to hold later this year in Calabar, Cross River State.
He said athletes are ready to compete at the monthly cycling competition tagged “Niger Delta Open Cycling Championship” scheduled to hold tomorrow at Odi Street, old GRA, Port Harcourt.
Coach Adesanya, said the competition which holds every last Saturday each month is to enhance the performance of cyclists in the state and keep them physically fit ahead of future engagements.
He revealed that the cyclists from other parts of the Niger Delta region would be part of the competition.
The one-day event is packed with mouth watering cash gift that would be given to eventual winners of the championship.
“The prizes are still the same little amount of cash prizes and some gift items which are yet to be disclosed”, Adesanya stated.
