My Father’s Fame Does Not Give Me Movie Roles – Yul Edochie
Nollywood star actor,
Yul Edochie is the last son of the prolific Nollywood legend Chief Pete Edochie. He loves acting as a result of his father’s success in the profession and joined Nollywood in 2005 after studying Theatre Arts at the prestigious University of Port Harcourt.
His first movie appearance was in 2005 where he starred alongside heavy weights like the late Enebeli Elebuwa Justus Esiri, Clanon Chukwura, Chidi Mokeme amongs others. The movie was titled the esquires,’ directed by Kabat Esosa Egbon. His big break came in 2008 when he features in a hit movie titled “wind of glory” starring Genevieve Nnaji and Desmond Elliot, directed by T. Chidi Chikere.
The movie not only launched him into the limelight but also opened doors of opportunities as other mega jobs came rolling in. The hansome actor ranks among the top male act rocking Nollywood today. He emerged the winner of the best actor category at the last city People entertainment Awards which was held last year.
In a recent interview with the press after receiving the awards he disclosed that being the son of the veteran actor, Pete Edochie does not give him movie roles, but his hard work and professionalism are the key to his success in the movie clan.
