Man, 24, In Custody For Fuel Theft

A middle aged man,
Yusuf Wale, has been remanded in Port Harcourt prison Custody by an Igwuruta Senior Magistrate Court presided over by David O. Ihua Maduenyi for stealing 30 litres of fuel valued at N3,000 only with charge sheet number PMC/1c/2014.
The accused person, Yusuf Wale, 24, is standing trial on four count charge on stealing and breaking before senior Magistrate D.D. Ihua Maduenyi.
The prosecuting police officer, Insp Godwin Nrianam, informed the court that the accused and others now at large on January 12th, 2014 at Onuchi farm road Igwuruta in the Igwuruta magisterial District allegedly broke and enter the premises of Assemblies of God Church by nigh.
The police prosecutor further alleged that the accused on the same date and place in the afore said magisterial District did stole 30 litres of fuel valued N3,000 belonging to Assemblies of God Church, Omuchi Farm road Igwuruta, adding that the accused committed an offence punishable under section 411 (I) and 390 of the criminal code, cap 37 laws of Rivers State of Nigeria 1999.
In his ruling, the presiding Senior Magistrate, David D. Ihua-Madu Enyi, while remanding the accused in prison custody directed the court registrar to forward the original case file to the Department of Public Prosecution (DPP) and adjourned the case to 4-3-2014 for DPPS advice.
