Kaduna Govt, Firms Partner On Shopping Centre Project
The Kaduna State
government has entered into a partnership agreement with private investors to build ultra-modern shopping centre in the state this year.
Making this known to newsmen in Kaduna, recently the state Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mr Joshua Uchissa, stated that the project would be a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project.
He said that the arrangement was between the state government and Alpine Investment Service, as well as Persians Investment and that the building would be in the heart of Kaduna metropolis.
According to the commissioner, the shopping centre is to be located along Muhammad Buhari Way in the heart of the city.
He said that the project had already been constituted which was seriously working for the relocation of the agencies at the site.
Uchissa also said that discussion had also started with the private partners on the development of other markets and shopping centres in the state.
The commissioner maintained that the ministry had to value the assets of the markets to ascertain the worth of the investment for necessary records.
On how the funds would be made available for the development of the structure; the commissioner posited that the state government would partner the Bank of Industry for the funds.
