Group Wants Digital Registration In Rivers

A group under the aegis of Patriotic Ladies of ASALGA has called for the digitalisation of the proposed business places registrations in the state.

Reacting to the appointment of one Johnny Soye Lulu Barango as chairman of Rivers State Business Places registration implementation committee, the group said that digitalising business registration will bring enormous benefits to the state.

Coordinator of the group, Madam Ibibia Tariah listed some of the benefits to include boosting the revenue base of the state, elimination of quacks and unlawful businesses in the state as well as check corruption in the system.

Madam Tariah said that her group is pleased with the state government that a capable hand has been appointed to handle the programme, noting that Mr. Jonny Soye Lulu Barango, a staff of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry will surely bring his wealth of experience to bear in the registration process.

In her words; “the ladies will support and encourage him to be diligent in his new assignment.

Also speaking a woman leader in ASALGA, Madam Lilly-Tariah Sotonibi said that it is high time businessmen and women cooperated with the committee to ensure its success.

Madam Sotonibi commended the Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and the Speaker, Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Otelemaba Dan Amachere, for the gesture.
