FA Boss Tasks Politicans On Youths In Sports

The Chairman of Kwara
Football Association, Busari Ishola, has in Ilorin advised politicians to help in engaging the youths in sporting activities.
Ishola who made the call in an interview with newsmen said this was better than engaging them in unwholesome activities.
“Youths are agents of development in any nation, and I want to advise them to be focused and to distance themselves from actions inimical to their future,’’ he said.
The Kwara FA chairman further advised the state government to rekindle its efforts in providing job opportunities for unemployed youths in the state.
Ishola also advised Nigerians to regularly exercise their bodies to guarantee themselves a healthy living and reduce their medical expenses.
On the 2013 African Player of the Year award, the football official said Yaya Toure of Cote d’Ivoire deserved the award on the basis of his performance and consistency.
“Other players should emulate him and see football as a serious business,’’ he said.
Ishola called on the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) to put necessary machinery in place ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil to ensure a successful competition.
