Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Emenike is the latest player to sign an endorsement deal with telecommunications giants Globacom.

The Fenerbache frontman, who has scored eight goals in 16 appearances (with 5 assists) for the Turkish Super Lig leaders, was unveiled as a ‘Glo Ambassador’ in a  ceremony held at the Mike Adenuga Towers, in Lagos on Friday.

Speaking at the event, Globacom’s national sales coordinator, Segun Adeyemo, described Emenike as an embodiment of the resilient Nigerian spirit which always triumphed against all odds.

“Globacom has always been in the forefront of sports development in Nigeria and Africa, committing over N9 billion to the holistic development of the sector. We have stood by the nation’s football because we believe that this is the most patriotic thing to do as a proudly Nigerian telecoms brand,” Adeyemo said.

He added that Emenike’s trajectory was a vivid reminder to all youths across the continent that there was no shortcut to success with his untiring efforts to score goals for Nigeria.

In response, Emenike thanked Globacom, who are the major sponsors of the national teams and title sponsors of the Nigeria Premier League, for signing him as a brand ambassador.

“I thank Globacom for considering me a worthy ambassador. I will continue to do my best for Nigeria and work hard in ensuring that we get good results in Brazil,” Emenike said.
