Council Boss Hails Character Re-Orientation Campaign

West Local Government Council, Hon. Abel Allison, has lauded the League of Character Clubs Nigeria (LCCN) for its character re-orientation and good attitude campaigns across the nation.
Allison made the commendation at an end-of-year party hosted by the patron of LCCN, Chief David Alagoa in Port Harcourt.
The council boss who was guest of honour at the event noted that the league of character clubs had for decades been active in moulding character.
He said, “when you have men and women of responsible character occupying positions of trust in the country, you can then expect good result because one cannot give what he doesn’t have”.
The council boss lauded Chief Alagoa for his active support to the club and for being as a man of strong character and enjoined public spirited individuals and corporate organisations for mustering support for the club in the interest of the society.
Also speaking, the President of Rivers Youth Federation, Comrade Adokie Mujiton, commended the president of LCCN, Chief Christian Kokoriko, for his effort in moulding responsible character, noting that for over twenty years, Chief Kokoriko had remained consistent in the campaign for good character.
The youth president stressed the need for peace in the society and advised Nigerian youths to be wise and shun anti-social involvements.
The President-General of LCCN, Chief Christian Kokoriko commended the host for his active support to the organisation, stating that Nigeria desires people of Chief Alagoa’s character to move forward.
Chief Kokoriko revealed that the club would be more involved in peace campaign in 2014 as more schools, churches and organisations would be visited in the club’s peace and character campaign.
In his remark, Chief Alagoa expressed joy at the attendance and commended the league of character club for its selfless effort and promised to always support good programmes of the club.
He emphasized that persons questionable character do not last long in responsible positions because character remains a key word in the coordination of human affairs.
