APC Condemns Bombings Of High Court Buildings
The Rivers State
chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has condemned the bombings of High Court buildings in Rivers State.
The Party’s Publicity Secretary , Chief Andy Nweye, who made the condemnation in a press statement in Port Harcourt accused the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the bombings and called on the security agencies to investigate the incidents and bring those involved to justice.
Nweye alleged that the explosives might have been planted by the PDP and the legislator representing Ogu/Bolo in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Evans Bipi and their agents to prevent the sitting of Ahoada High Court for the hearing of arguments on interlocutory injunction restraining Evans Bipi from parading himself as Speaker of the state assembly.
He also noted that the six suspects reportedly arrested for arms running linking two members of the PDP were part of the confirmation that the bombings were carried out by the party.
Nweye expressed displeasure that the police were yet to make any arrest after the bombings, warning that the police must not sweep the matter under the carpet.
He appealed to the relevant authorities to intervene and ensure that security operatives carry out their constitutional responsibilities of securing lives and property of citizens and residents of Rivers State by arresting and prosecuting all those involved in the current state of violence across the state.
