APC Assures On Good Governance

Congress in Rivers State has vowed to ensure the institution of a viable and sustainable system that would promote good governance in the country.
The State Interim Chairman of the Party, Chief Davies Ibiamu Ikanya who gave the assurance in an interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt, Thursday, identified lack of workable system as the bane of leadership in the country, promised that the party would ensure a dependable and sustained system that would enable all arms of government work amicably and successfully.
Ikanya said that APC has a comprehensive programme of action that would ensure that things are properly done and accounted for, noting that the party is on the move to rebuilding the country.
According to him, “we have always been lucky in Rivers State had never been in an opposition and 2015 will not be an exception”.
Continuing, he said: “APC government is ready to erase the attitude of impunity in governance where an elected officers will not obey court orders and will not do things accordingly to set down rules and guidelines”.
He re-assured that APC government at the centre will engender proper democratic principles and respect the rule of law.
The APC boss however said the party has enough saleable candidates for 2015 elections but refused to comment on zoning as he said the party recognized the geo-political zones in the country.
