Abua/Odual Champions Cup Holds’Morrow

Government Area Football Association is now set to host the local government maiden edition of champion’s cup this weekend.
The chairman of Abua/Odual Football Association (FA), Deacon Solomon D. Igbanibo said the champion’s cup 2013 is in keeping with the peaceful atmosphere to the area and also to expose the building football talents abound in the local government area.
Igbanibo, said the match which would be between United Brother Football Club (Unity Cup Winners) and Appacino Football Club (chairman’s cup winner) for 2013 would decide who carries the prestigious trophy as the overall champion of Adua/Obua local government 2013 football year.
He noted that the match which is expected to take place this weekend day at county state school field adding that sports loving people of the state are expected to witness the tournament which has been described as one of the best soccer ideas to encourage young talented footballers in the area.
He further explained that the championship is to ensure that other clubs who are not part of the finals of the competition are more serious and also committed in future football competitions in the area.
It would be recalled that United Brothers Football Club won the 4th edition of the 2013 unity cup tournament organised by Allstars of Abua/Odual local government area chapter while Appeacino Football Club won the 2013 edition of Abua/Odual chairman’s cup.
The two champions would lock horns to determine who becomes the first FA king in the area.
