ABS FC Builds Clinic For Players
Nigeria National League (NNL) side Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC of Ilorin has said it has provided an infirmary for its players and officials ahead of the 2013/2014 season.
The General Manager of the club, Alloy Chukwuemeka, told newsmen in Ilorin that the clinic would attend to the team’s medical needs during the season.
He said that the sick bay was located at the secretariat of the club at the Kwara Stadium complex, Ilorin.
“The infirmary is strategically located to respond to emergencies during training and matches,’’ said Chukwuemeka, who is also the Acting Secretary of the Club Owners Association in Nigeria.
He said the bay was part of management’s determination to structure the club in line with FIFA standards as well as adhere to international best practices and professionalism.
Chukwuemeka said that in spite of the club’s relegation from the Globacom Premier League, it would not stray from the objective of the proprietor, Sen. Bukola Saraki.
He added that Saraki wanted to make the club a model to be emulated by others.
The general manager restated the club management’s resolve to make the interest and welfare of its players and officials a topmost priority.
He assured the club’s fans that the bay would be well equipped with first aid and dispensing materials and manned by a qualified team doctor, nurses and physiotherapist.
The ABS boss disclosed that the club already had an existing partnership with Olalomi Hospital, Ilorin for referral cases.
