‘Germany Can’t Stop Super Sand Eagles’
Super Sand Eagles Captain Isiaka Olawale yesterday said that world champions, Germany, would not stop his team from retaining COPA Lagos International Beach Soccer trophy.
The third edition of the COPA Lagos tournament will begin on Friday and end on Sunday. The competition, began in 2011.
The Super Sand Eagles won the first two editions of the competition.
Olawale told newsmen in Lagos that his players were also champions in their own rights, and would not succumb to pressures from their opponents.
He urged beach soccer fans to throng the venue of the competition, Eko Atlantic Beach, Lagos, to support the team.
“Although Germany are the world defending champions in the game; they can brag just as we do as COPA Lagos defending champions; we are equally matched.
