Estate Valuers Shift Annual Mandatory Dev Programme To 2014
The Rivers State branch
of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) has shifted the Yearly Mandatory Continuous Professional Development Programme (MCPD) to next year.
The Tide has reliably gathered that the MCPD Programme which is an annual event of the NIESV where members are refreshed and updated with new techniques of their jobs was shifted due to logistics problems.
Speaking while interacting with The Tide on the programme, the publicity secretary of the association, Mr. Monday Ahiwe said that the postponement of the MCPD became very imperative due to the fact that most of their members were encumbered with so many activities.
He said that other national activities of the institution also coincided with the plans of the branch for which those of the branch had to give way for the national programme.
Ahiwe however posited that the MCPD for the branch which was initially scheduled for November 2013 has now been re-scheduled to hold in the first quarter of 2014.
The NIESV image maker also explained that the institute is also very much careful about the political situation in Rivers State, so that people will not misinterprete their programmes and intentions.
He said that some of their earlier programmes planned for 2013 had to be put on hold so as to avoid any misinterpretations.
