Deputy Mayor Extols Virtues Of Dame Amaechi

The Deputy Mayor of Port Harcourt City Local Government Council, Hon. Nancy Stephens-Ijaopo, has lauded the wife of the state governor, Dame Judith Amaechi for selfless services to humanity, through her pet project, Empowerment Support Initiative (ESI).

Stephens-Ijaopo who stated this in her congratulatory message to the governor’s wife on her birthday celebration yesterday thanked the Almighty God for her resourceful life, stressing that she had given hope and succour to many people without blowing her trumpet in the media.

She described her as a quiet, humble, peace-loving and kind-hearted person who derived joy and satisfaction by putting smiles on the faces of the people, particularly the needy in the society.

She recalled her immense support to elected female local government executives and legislators forum in Rivers State and thanked her for her inspirational advice to the body.

“While praying to God to grant her many more years on earth. We also appreciate you for your support for women recognition and empowerment in the state and the society at large. You remain a source of inspiration to womenfork”, she added.

The deputy Mayor noted that the governor’s wife had been a pillar of support to her husband and enjoined her not to relent on her prayers for the success of the present administration in the state.

She also reiterated the support of the forum to the state governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for his development strides in the state and wished the first family well in the Yuletide season.
