Rivers Crisis: Ada-George Seeks Amicable Resolution

ers State, Chief Rufus Ada- George says the intra-party wrangling in Rivers State will soon be resolved.
Chief Ada George gave the assurance last Friday in an interview with The Tide at the burial of late Mrs Charity Fynface Oba, the mother of the first lady of Nigeria, Dame Patience Jonathan at Okrika in Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers State.
“Situation like this happened when I was the Governor of Rivers State, and through dialogues, it was resolved amicably, I believe that the present-political crisis in the state and Nigeria in general would be resolved also, in no distance time, especially crisis in People Democratic Party (PDP).
I am in support of what the presiding pastor said few minutes ago and I hope and believe with prayer that, today’s burial of President Jonathan’s Mother-in-law will go a long way to bring peace between Governor Amaechi and the President.
“However, the elder statesmen in Rives and other parts of the country are on top of the situation to bring peace and unity in the party.  Chief Ada George said.
Chief Ada George used the opportunity to called on the politicians in the state to shun violence and rancour saying, they should embrace dialogue to sustain peace and unity in the state.
In his condolence message, Chief Ada George urged President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan to take heart, describing Late Charity Fyneface Oba as virtous woman who contribute immensely to the peace and development of the state.
