Nollywood Unveils Best Performers 2013

The Nigerian movie in
dustry called Nollywood, the third best movie clan in the world after Hollywood and Bollywood has unveiled its best performers in the just concluded Nollywood Awards held at the Intercontinental Hotels Lagos, recently.
The second edition of the awards was attended by the ‘who is who’ in the movie industry, top Government officials and showbiz personalities within and outside the country.
The winners at the event include:
Rita Dominic: She emerged the best actress in leading roles. The movie titled “The meeting”  where she played a leading role also won three awards in the events making it a total of 10 awards within and outside Nigeria since it hit the market.
O.C Ukeje: Best lead actor
Belinda Effah: Best rising star female (Kokomma)
Top Box office movie: Phone swap
Uti Nwachukwu: Best rising star male

Best movie (unspoken)
Best Diaspora movie (man on ground)
Best sound track: Patrick Mathias
(Hoodrush)
Best set design: Sango B’Song (last Flight to Abuja)
Best make up: Jennifer Alegreuna
(The meeting)
Best costume design: Jaiye Owolabi
The Gods are still not to blame)
Best original screen play: Kemi Adoso

Best sound track: Obi Emelonye
(Last flight to Abuja)
Best Editing: Kunle Adejuyigbe

Best director: Mildred Okwo

Best indigenous movie (Maami)
Best Actress indigenous Funke Akindele
Best actor indigenous: Imeh Bishop.
Among the top Nollywood stars who attended the event were: Rukky Sanda, Monalisa Chinda, Uche Jumbo, Tricia Isiegbe, the twin sisters, Chidinma and Chidebere Anieke and Linda Ejiofor. Others were Sylivia Oluchi, Empress Njama, Dakore Egbuson, Mary Uranta, Don Jazzy, Dr Sid, Segun Arinze etc.
