NOA Director Tasks Workers On Perforamnce
The Director of National
Orientation Agency (NOA), Enugu, Mr Isaac Onukwube has urged staff of the agency to add value to its operations through stronger commitment in the discharge of their duties.
He said that the only way to justify the agency’s existence was to add value to its operations, saying that the responsibilities of the agency remained outside and not in the office.
According to him, all the members of staff have a duty to discharge as NOA officers, adding that they must re-establish and reclaim the presence of the agency in the state, both at the grassroots and within the media.
The director said that the agency would commence state-wide consultations and visit to media institutions, government establishments, local government councils, traditional and religious institutions, corporate organisations and non-governmental agencies.
Onukwube said that the visit would help the agency to identify with the institutions and seek their support, partnership and collaboration.
The Assistant Director of programmes, Mr Felix Odo said that the agency needed sponsorship from the state and local governments.
“Ìn many states in Nigeria, state governments give NOA allowances every month, vehicle, motorcycles and impress to the director to run the office.’’
Odo advised the new director to make effort through official and non official processes to let the state governor be interested in NOA’s activities.
