Miss Centenary Beauty Pageant holds Today At Hotel Presidential PH

The widely talked about
Miss Centenary beauty pageant holds today at the Hotel Presidential Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, with beautiful damsels from the 23 local government areas of the state contesting to determine who wears the prestigious crown.
The state governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is the special guest of Honour, with other government officials including the secretary to the state government, Dr. George Feyii and the Chairman of Port Harcourt city Local Government, (PHALGA), Hon. Chimbiko Akorolo who is also the Chairman, centenary celebration planning committee as well as other important dignitaries who are expected to grace the event.
It would be recalled that the Port Harcourt centenary celebration was flagged off in August 2013 with a Marathon race, which also featured a Jumaat Service and an International Church service in September 2013. Other events to mark the centenary celebration of Port Harcourt city which was founded in 1913 and named after the secretary of state for the colonies Sir Viscourt Harcourt, include a centenary cultural fiesta- featuring boat regatta, street parades and a big band concert which will hold from December 15th to 21st 2013.
