LG Boss Urges Women To Be Prayerful

Nkoro Local Government Council, Warisenibo (Hon.) Maclean Bethel Uranta, has encouraged women to continue to remain prayerful at all times, saying that through prayers the present and future generation can be sharpened for better life.
Warisenibo (Hon.) Uranta, who made the call in an address to the Opubo Ereapu Kubiri 2013 (Opobo Women Welfare Association Convention) at King Jaja’s square, Opobo town, said that his greatest joy about the women conference is the way they give thanks to God, encouraging them to continue to make praise their cardinal agenda assuring them that their efforts will not be in vain if they continue in their stride.
The council boss said that women have extra-strength which no one can ignore, pleading with them never to allow party policies to infiltrate into their innovation and activities but to remain united in praying for God’s choice in leadership despite their individual political cleavages even as he thanked them for all their support for his administration.
Earlier in a sermon, Rev. Daniel Braide of the Church of God Mission, Opobo town, said that every human being needs the help of God without which we are helpless saying that this divine help can only be provoked by abiding in the secret place of God that can only be accessed through Salvation in Christ Jesus.
In her address, the President of Opobo Women Welfare Assocation, Amaopu-Orubo Felicia S. Pepple, who said that the association which came into being from 1971 is a platform for women of Opobo Kingdom to articulate their ideas and face challenges peculiar to women, as a socio-cultural organization which is open to all women born or married into Opobo Kingdom.
Amaopu-Orubo Pepple said that women of Opobo Kingdom have taken up the challenge to partner in the development of the Kingdom appealing for the inclusion of women in decision making body because, according to her, the development of a just, balanced and economically sustainable society is only possible if women participate actively in the decision making body.
