Five Powerlifters For IPF World Championships

Five powerlifters are to
represent Nigeria at the forthcoming International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) World Championships in Stavanger, Norway, the Nigeria Professional Powerlifting Association (NPPA)  has said.
The NPPA Secretary, Peter Oluwo, told newsmen in Lagos that the athletes would depart the country on November 4 for the annual tournament scheduled to hold from November 3 to 10
He said that Nigeria would be represented by three male and two female athletes namely: Archibong Samuel, Sunday Erepadei, Andew John, Glory Moses and Abiola Aroswosere.
Oluwo said that the powerlifters had been training for the past two months to be able to succeed.
“These athletes are ready for the competition. They have been training rigorously to enhance their performance in the competition,” he said.
According to him, the athletes will compete in all the events in the championships.
