Dolphins Players Threaten Strike

FC of Port Harcourt, Rivers State have threatened to down tools following an alleged poor pre-league camping at Oghara Delta State.
Some of the players who spoke to Tidesports on telephone yesterday said that if the management failed to improve on their feeding allowance and quality of food, they would have no option than to go on strike.
They further alleged that allowances were reduced from N1000 to N350.00 daily, alleging that before the arrival of technical adviser of the team, Stanley Eguma to the camp, they were allegedly paid N1000.00 daily but was suddenly reduced to N350.00.
“However, we are not happy over the way the management is treating us.
The players however assured that they are committed and determined to win trophies this new football season, adding that the development runs contrary to their efforts.
As we are speaking to you now we are not happy that Dolphins FC did not win any trophy last season” they stated.
Reacting to the allegation the technical adviser of the team Stanley Eguma, said there is no iota of truth in the allegation.
He also explained that the management of the team hired caterers to feed the players daily and also to give them the balance of their daily feeding allowances.
“Person who feed them collects N500.00. We want to feed them in a general place, not when you give them money they will used to buy cards and do some other things” the Eguma disclosed adding the management interest is on the betterment  of the players.
