Cleric Wants Christians To Depend On God

Christians have been
urged not to relent in depending absolutely on God for the supply of their daily needs.
The General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Nigeria, Professor Paul Emeka gave the charge in Port Harcourt at the celebration of this year’s National Royal Rangers Day.
The Royal Rangers is a Para-military ogranisation of the Assemblies of God Nigeria registered with the Ministry of Interior.
Professor Emeka decried the lack of faith in God by some Christians as they employed and resorted to unbiblical means in an attempt to resolve a problem which he said could be a test of faith by God.
In a message titled, “I will do a new thing” drawn from the book of Isaiah Chapter 43 verse 19, the General Superintendent told Christians to let go the old things and look on to God who alone has the ultimate power to do new things and deliver them from hardship at his own time.
Rev Emeka who was represented by Comrade Clinton Akuro enjoined Royal Rangers in the country to be disciplined and to uphold the virtues and values of the Christian faith in their activities.
Also speaking, the Senior Pastor of Marine Base Church I, Assemblies of God Nigeria, Rev. Ibitroko Mann Braide said every Christian is a registered soldier in the Kingdom of God to discharge his purpose on earth.
Rev. Braide stated that the Royal Rangers were only a physical symbol of spiritual reality in heaven and urged the members to brace up to their responsibilities and calling.
A youth official in the church, Chiamaka Augustine described Royal Rangers as a grooming ground for youths to set their minds on how glorious heaven would look like.
In his speech, the Commandant of the Movement, Comrade Jacob Egerton, thanked the senior Pastor of the church and his assistant, Rev. Ibitroko Mann Braide and Rev. Stephen Nwauba respectively as well as the entire membership for making the occasion a success.
The occasion featured drama presentation, special songs, Decoration of Ministers and Deacons as Associate Rangers.
