Chikordi Egbule Emerges Queen Of MBA-Etche
Activities marking this year’s edition of Oganihi Mba Cultural Festival in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State ended last Wednesday with Miss Chikordi Egbule emerging as the most beautiful girl in Mba town.
The new queen who hails from Amaku was closely followed by Miss Faith Nwokocha of Umuede, while Miss Hope Amadi of Umuochamba clinched the third position. They were adjudged most outstanding in beauty, intelligence and defence of the original culture of Mba town.
In a chat with The Tide Entertainment the new queen charged Mba daughters to embrace education, acquire skill and remain good ambassadors of Mba town whenever they find themselves.
On the wrestling competition which was one of the highlights of the three day cultural fiesta, Emeka Egbegbu, Stephen Anokwuru, Promise Nweke and Promise Ibekwe were adjudged the most outstanding.
According to the Chief Cultural Officer in Etche Local Government, Mr Charles Nweke, the four wrestlers would represent Mba town in the forthcoming Onye Ishi Etche, His Royal Majesty HRM, Eze Emmanuel Opurum’s Wrestling Competition at Okehi.
On the singing competition, Udokanma Cultural Group of Umuaturu came first, followed by Nma Wanyibudi group of Amaku, while Nma Wanyibudi of Umumbiri came third. The mammoth crowd of guests were thrilled by Eri Agaka musical group of Umuayardi Mba.
