Amaechi ‘ll Complete Tenure In 2015 – Uchendu

The Legislator represent
ing Ikwerre/Emohua Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Chief Andrew Uchendu, says that in spite of the distractions from the opposition, Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State will complete his tenure in 2015.
Uchendu, who was reacting to some comments by the leadership of the Grassroot Development Initiative (GDI) over the weekend told The Tide at the Port Harcourt International Airport Omagwa,that Governor Amaechi became governor through the instrumentality of God.
He stated that when the hand of God  was upon someone, man would fight in vain to destroy him, assuring that despite several insinuations on the exit of the governor from office, he (Amaechi) would complete his tenure in 2015.
Uchendu who is the state caucus leader at the National Assembly said he would  continue to work with those that want to serve Rivers people and not those with selfish interest.
According to him, “Rivers people have watched and seen the extent of the governor’s performance and I am convinced that the people have seen where their money has been put into”.
He urged Rivers people to reject politicians deceiving them through their utterances and support those that would cater for the majority of the people.
On what he had been able to attract to his constituency, Chief Uchendu disclosed that he attracted skills acquisition centre at Elele in Ikwerre local government and Youth Development Centre for Emohua local government area.
The federal lawmaker however, said the scholarship scheme which he initiated for the constituency was being vigorously pursued, revealing that the first phase of the scheme had 64 students while the second phase 2013 to 2015 covers 140 students, five persons each from ward with three Doctoral Degree students as beneficiaries.
