Abia Pledges Support For Security Agencies

The Abia Government
has reiterated its resolve to continue to support all security agencies operating in the state to ensure adequate security of lives and property.
The state’s Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Mr Chisom Nwamuo, said this when he received members of the Abia State Vigilance Group’s Advisory Committee.
“The state government will continue to ensure that the state remains one of the safest in the country,’’ he said.
The commissioner commended the state vigilance group and its advisory committee for not only providing security to the business community, but to other members of the public as well.
Earlier,  the Chairman, Abia State Vigilance Group’s Advisory Committee, Chief Udeka Onuoha, said the body came to  brief Nwamuo on its activities.
“We are also her to comgratulate the commissioner on his recent appointment”, he said.
Onuoha, a retired Commissioner of Police, said a greater percentage of the personnel of the Abia vigilance group provided services in markets across the state.
He said the advisory committee also had market leaders as members.
