He said that the festival would be jointly organised by De-Noahua Tourism Organisation and the Akwa Ibom Tourism Board.
“This is the first edition of the festival in the state and it promises to be a memorable one.
“The idea is to attract tourists and investors to experience the rich tourism, arts and culture of the people of the state and for investors to explore the state’s enormous tourism potential, “ Umoh said.
The manager said that the budget would cover decorations and lights; security, honorarium, contingencies, prizes, medicals, transportation and logistics.
“The event also has the potential of promoting tourist centres in the state,’’ he said.
Umoh said that the event would showcase tourism packages like cuisine and the cultural heritage of the people of the state.
According to him, the festival is aimed at promoting traditional foods, tourism, cultural assets, local cuisine and would also create jobs.
“There will be a series of side attractions during the festival, whereby tourists and visitors will be entertained with cultural dances,’’ Umoh added.
