U-17 Youth Championship: RSG Set To Camp Athletes

Council has said that arrangements are in top gear for the camping of athletes who are participating in the forthcoming Under- 17 Youth Championship in Abuja between December 5 to 15 this year.
The Publicity Secretary of the council, Barisi Wifa who gave the assurance in an exclusive interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt on Monday said that the council was doing everything possible to ensure that the state wins all the medals at stake.
He further explained that the state athletes from different sports have commenced intensive preparation to make the fans and stakeholders happy when the completion eventually kicks off.
According to him, Rivers State athletes are in high spirit for the competition adding that what they are awaiting for is the camping and eventual commencement of the championship.
The council image maker used the opportunity to re-assure sports loving Rivers people and indeed stakeholders that the state government was doing everything within its powers to camp the athletes to enable them prepare adequately for the championship.
