SSANU Suspends Strike, As FG Complies With Demands

Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) has suspended its strike action.
The suspension of the strike is contained in a statement issued by the union and signed by the its National Secretary, Mr. Promise Adewusi.
It said that the decision to suspend the strike was informed by the Federal Government’s compliance with the union’s demands.
“Following substantial compliance to our demand for the payment of August and September salaries of our members which is the reason for our current national strike action, we hereby suspend the strike and direct all our members to return to their duties immediately.
The statement thanked members of the union for their solidarity, adding that the non payment of the salaries of its members for work done would not happen again.
