Man Bags Two Years jail Term For Stealing

Magistrate Court presided over by Emmanuel Woke has sentenced a twenty-two year old man for two years imprisonment with hard labour without an option of fine.
The convict, Felix Samuel, 22 who was arraigned on two count charges of stealing and breaking of house before Chief Magistrate E.C. Woke.
The Police Prosecution told the court that the convict on the 18th August, 2013 at Eliozu, Port Harcourt in the Port Harcourt Magisterial District broke into the house of one Sotonye Jacress (“F”) with the intent to convict felony of stealing.
The prosecution further told the court that the convict on the same date and place in the jurisdiction of the court did stole one laptop valued at Ninety thousand Naira, one hundred dollars ($90,000,100)property of one Sotonye Jacress, adding that the convict committed an offence punishable under section 411 (2) and 390(9) of the criminal Cap 390 (9) of the criminal Cap 37 Vol. 11 laws of Rivers State of Nigeria 1999.
After the charge was read to the convict, he pleaded guilty in all the charges brought against him.
