Kickboxers Hail Daminabo’s Victory

Kick boxers in the
South-South zone of the country have pledged their support to the newly elected board chairman of kick boxing in the zone, Monima Daminabo.
The Nigeria’s representative of the World Kick boxing  Association, Sensei Victor Bassey stated this during an exclusive interview with Tidesports in Port Harcourt over the weekend.
According to him, the election of the new board chairman was a welcome development in the sport, saying that Monima Daminabo would develop the sport at the grassroot level.
He further said that the new chairman has what it takes to bring the sport to its desired height in the country,  adding that with his wealth of experience in kick boxing, there would be a rapid growth of the sport in the nearest future.
Meanwhile, the election of national officers is scheduled to hold on November 6, 2013 in Abuja.
It was understood that chairmen from the six geo-political zones would meet to contest for the National Chairmanship of the federation.
However, the South-South kick boxers have promised to travel to Abuja next month to support the newly elected chairman to clinch the position.
