ICT Firm Set To Move Africa Forward

Consult has indicated interest to move Africa from being an ordinary bystander in the global information and communications technology industry by initiating a paradigm shift in the technology industry and create a forum for Africa to showcase her products to the rest of the world.
Speaking with reporters in Lagos on Tuesday, the Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Digital Africa Global Consult, Nneoma Ofodili, noted that Digital Africa was on the mission to rescue Africa in the technology industry.
She said that plans are in top gear to enable Africans participate at the 2014 Consumer Electronic Association in Lagos State.
Ofodile hinted that the events would be a nice fishing ground for technology inventors since international businessmen and expected to visit.
The Tide gathered that the first “CES” exhibition was held in New York City in June 1967 and holds in Las Vegas every year.
She explained that the aim of the international exhibition was to afford industry affiliates the opportunity to meet with manufacturers of consumer electronics products for potential business opportunities.
It was learnt that out of the 24,306 International Exhibitors that took part at this year’s “CES” exhibition, none came from Africa.
However, she has called on those in technology industry in Africa, to prepare themselves ahead of next year’s exhibition in Lagos State so as to enable them compete with their equals across the globe.
