Eaglets’ Performance Excites PH Fans

Harcourt, Rivers State capital have praised the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria for displaying soccer artistry during their 6-1 victory over Mexico in the on-going FIFA Under 17 World Cup championship.
Some of the fans who spoke to the Tidesports in an exclusive interview said that the performance of the Eaglets in the first leg is a strong indication that the town is poised to lift the trophy.
Jacob Smart, a road side mechanic said that, the Nigeria boys would do well in this competition because beating a defending champion is no mean feat.
According to Mrs Gift Dickson, a housewife, the team exhibited maturity in their game, adding that their cohesive and general team work if maintained will take the team to lift the trophy.
Mr. Achereomie, a Manager with Port Harcourt Flour Mills, in his opinion stated that, it is the aggressive play of the team attack that has helped them so far.
He urged the coaches to improve the team defence and possessive play so that, subsequent matches would be much easier.
Sunday Nnah, a production worker also in the Flour Mills praised the performances of the Eaglets. Although he was not sure of the strength of other likely opponents, he was optimistic that, if the boys continue with this performance in other matches, they are likely to reach the final.
