The Police in Enugu State have arrested two suspects (names withheld) for allegedly blackmailing a priest at Abakpa Nike in Enugu.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Ebere Amarizu, made this known in a statement issued in Enugu.
He said the suspects were arrested on October 12 following a tip off by the Anti Kidnapping Unit of the force.
The suspects, according to the statement, lured the priest, Kingsley Amakor from his base at Ugbene, Abakpa Nike for prayers at No 25, Umuchu St., Idaw River, Enugu, residence of the female suspect.
The statement said the suspects confessed to committing the crime but pleaded for forgiveness, saying it was the handiwork of the devil.
The police said the pictures had been recovered from them while investigation was ongoing.
