Police Nab Fake NAFDAC Official

Police Command have nabbed one Prince Gabriel Obasi of Odume in Aninri Local Government Area of the state for allegedly posing as an official of National Agency For Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), and  extorting money from unsuspecting members of the public.
The Suspect was apprehended by police operatives on August 30, 2013, following report by a victim  at Awgu in Enugu state that the suspect came to his shop  at Orie Awgu Market where he presented himself as an official of NAFDAC and went ahead to demand for his license authorising him to be selling local Gin.
It was further that when the suspect was rounded up by the police,  he confessed  that he is not a NAFDAC official and pleaded for forgiveness.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Ebere Amaraizu (DSP), confirmed the arrest, revealing that  investigations into the incident have commenced in full scale.
In another development, operatives of the Police Mobile Force No3 squadron of the Enugu state command  have nabbed two persons on September 1, 2013  at Ishiagu along Enugu Port Harcourt Expressway for allegedly being in possession of two short double barrel gun that was concealed in Baco sack inside the bus.
The suspects who gave their names as Ernest Onyeka Nwodo and Ugochukwu Ifeanyi, were said to have joined the bus with registration number BH 948 ENU from the bus loading bay at Gariki Awkunanaw, Enugu  and heading to Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
According to the PPRO, investigations into the matter have also  commenced in full swing, adding that all the suspects who  are now helping the operatives in their investigations will appear in court at the end of their investigations.
