PDP Crisis: Group Assures Amaechi Of Victory
Youths under the umbrella of Rivers State Ethnic and Conduct Group have re-assured the Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi of total victory in the prevailing political crisis.
Speaking through its leader, Comrade Bipele Omoron at its quarterly conference recently in Port Harcourt, the group advised Amaechi to shun what it described as the “rantings of the opponents who think that they can sweep him (Amaechi) and his supporters out of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.
Comrade Omoron recalled that Governor Amaechi was elected under the most free and fair election in the state, and that he was not single handed made Governor of Rivers State as claimed by Chief Nyesom Wike, recently.
The group leader expressed satisfaction that prayers against reactionary forces and self acclaimed political overlords were gradually materialising in favour of Governor Amaechi and his supporters in the state.
He said the formation of the new Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after the mini-convention of the party has shown that Amaechi’s critics would soon regret of their actions.
Comrade Omoron called on Amaechi to remained focused and maintain his stance for Justice in accordance with the rule of law.
He called on the people in the state, particularly the youths to remain good ambassadors of the state, and shun being used as agents of destruction in the state.
Also speaking, a member of the group, Hon. Emmanuel Alafonye called on youths in the state not to allow themselves to be influenced with hand to –mouth peanut money by some selfish leaders, whose aim was to use the youths to get their way.
