OPM Targets 100 Branches …Celebrates 7th Anniversary, October
Omega Power Ministries (OPM) is targeting 100 branches before its seventh anniversary on the 27 October, 2013.
The General Overseer of the church, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, who disclosed this in an exclusive interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt said that so far, the church had more than 89 branches both within the country and abroad.
Apostle Chinyere said that the church had its branches in many states of the federation while its Abuja branch would soon take off.
He listed South Africa, Ghana, Unted Kingdom and the United States of America as some of the countries where OPM had its branches while efforts were on to expand the network across the entire world.
The clergyman attributed the feat to accessibility, stressing that in OPM, members and non-members had easy access to the General Overseer and other members of the clergy.
According to him, people are coming to the church in droves because of the results they get on their challenges, noting that in OPM, practical problems were solved daily, stressing that not less than 30 new converts were admitted into the headquarters of the church at Eliozu in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State every Sunday.
Apostle Chinyere, however, said that this tremendous growth was putting a strain on him as he was always travelling to attend to the needs of members everyday.
He described his gift of healing and prophecy as natural, stressing that he was born with it, although he never realised early enough.
According to him, as a Jehovah Witness, every manifestation was regarded by his father as coincidence, while his mother had to restrain him from exercising his gift openly.
The man of God who claimed to have hawked MTN cards and did other menial jobs for survival, noted that his talent fully manifested when he healed the daughter of the Managing Director of Sobaz Oil of madness.
He said that, since then, God had used him to heal all kinds of afflictions as well as solving all kinds of physical, emotional and spiritual challenges in the society.
